Terms and Conditions for Hounslow Carpet Cleaning

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Hounslow Carpet Cleaning provides cleaning services to customers. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means any individual, business, or organisation that requests or receives services from Hounslow Carpet Cleaning.

Services means carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, stain removal, and any other related cleaning services offered by Hounslow Carpet Cleaning from time to time.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract between the Customer and Hounslow Carpet Cleaning for the provision of Services, constituted by these Terms and Conditions and the details confirmed at the time of booking.

2. Scope of Services

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning provides professional cleaning services within its service area, which includes Hounslow and surrounding locations. Availability of Services may vary and is subject to scheduling and resource constraints.

The exact nature and scope of the Services to be provided will be agreed at the time of booking, including the areas to be cleaned, the type of cleaning required, and any additional or specialist treatments requested by the Customer.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to decline or postpone Services if the Premises are unsafe, inaccessible, or if conditions are unsuitable for the work to be carried out effectively and safely.

3. Booking Process

Bookings may be made by the Customer through the contact methods advertised by Hounslow Carpet Cleaning, including telephone or online enquiry forms where available.

At the time of booking, the Customer will be asked to provide details of the Premises, the type and extent of the work required, and any particular concerns such as severe staining, pets, or known hazards.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may provide an estimated price based on the information supplied by the Customer. This estimate may be subject to change if the actual condition, size, or requirements at the Premises differ from the information originally provided.

A booking is only confirmed when Hounslow Carpet Cleaning acknowledges the booking and agrees on a date, time, and indicative price or pricing basis with the Customer. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to refuse any booking at its discretion.

4. Access to Premises and Customer Obligations

The Customer is responsible for providing clear and safe access to the Premises at the agreed time. This includes arranging parking where necessary, ensuring that entry to the building is possible, and informing any relevant parties such as building management or security.

The Customer must ensure that the areas to be cleaned are reasonably clear of obstructions, personal items, fragile objects, and excessive clutter. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will not be responsible for moving heavy furniture, valuable items, electrical equipment, or items of a delicate nature unless specifically agreed in advance.

The Customer must inform Hounslow Carpet Cleaning of any known hazards, defects, or risks at the Premises, including but not limited to loose floor coverings, damaged carpets, unstable furniture, electrical issues, or the presence of pests.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to refuse or suspend work if the environment is considered unsafe for its operatives or if the conditions materially differ from those described at the time of booking.

5. Pricing and Payments

Prices for Services may be based on factors such as room size, type of material, level of soiling, access, and any additional treatments requested. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may provide either a fixed price or an estimated price subject to inspection at the Premises.

All prices are given in pounds sterling and, unless expressly stated otherwise, include applicable taxes. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to adjust prices from time to time; however, any adjustment will not affect bookings already confirmed, save where the booking was based on materially inaccurate information supplied by the Customer.

Payment is due in accordance with the terms notified at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the Services on the day of the visit. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may require deposit payments or full prepayment at its discretion, especially for larger or commercial bookings.

Accepted payment methods will be communicated to the Customer at the time of booking or service. The Customer must ensure that sufficient funds or means of payment are available. Failure to make payment when due may result in additional charges and suspension of any further Services.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

The Customer may cancel or request to reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Unless otherwise specified, a minimum of 24 hours notice before the scheduled appointment time is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.

Where less than 24 hours notice is provided, Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may charge a cancellation fee. This may be up to a reasonable proportion of the quoted price to cover lost time and administrative costs. Any non-refundable deposits will be retained where applicable.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to staff illness, equipment failure, severe weather, or access problems. In such cases, an alternative appointment will be offered at a mutually convenient time. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for any consequential loss arising from such cancellation or rescheduling.

Repeated cancellations or failure to provide access to the Premises at the appointed time may result in refusal of further bookings from the Customer.

7. Service Standards and Limitations

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning aims to provide Services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with industry practices. However, the Customer acknowledges that results can vary depending on the age and type of carpet or upholstery, previous cleaning methods, the nature of any stains, and general wear.

While every reasonable effort will be made to remove or reduce stains, odours, and marks, complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Certain stains, including but not limited to those caused by dyes, bleaches, permanent markers, and some pet accidents, may be permanent.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will not be responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or discolouration that may become more apparent after cleaning. This includes shading, pile reversal, sun fading, and previously hidden marks or defects.

The Customer is responsible for following any aftercare instructions provided, such as drying times, ventilation, and restrictions on use of cleaned areas. Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for damage arising from failure to follow such instructions.

8. Customer Complaints and Rectification

If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should notify Hounslow Carpet Cleaning as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the work.

Where a complaint is deemed valid, Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will seek to address the issue, which may include re-attending the Premises to inspect and, where appropriate, re-clean affected areas. Any such rectification is at the discretion of Hounslow Carpet Cleaning and is subject to the Customer providing reasonable access and cooperation.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right not to provide remedial work if the carpet or upholstery has been further treated, interfered with, or used contrary to advice given after the original Service.

9. Liability and Insurance

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will take reasonable care when providing Services and will maintain appropriate insurance cover as required by law and good practice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hounslow Carpet Cleaning shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of use, arising out of or in connection with the provision of Services or these Terms and Conditions.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will not be liable for any damage or loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the Customer, failure by the Customer to comply with these Terms and Conditions, or events beyond the reasonable control of Hounslow Carpet Cleaning.

10. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will handle waste generated during the provision of Services in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom.

Any waste produced as part of the cleaning process, including extracted soiling, packaging, and used consumables, will be managed responsibly. Certain types of waste may require specific treatment or disposal routes to comply with legal requirements.

Where waste removal from the Premises is included in the Services, Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will arrange for transport and disposal in line with current legislation. Where the Customer is responsible for waste disposal, they must ensure that all applicable regulations are followed.

The Customer shall not request Hounslow Carpet Cleaning to dispose of hazardous or controlled waste beyond the scope of the Services agreed, and Hounslow Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to refuse to handle any materials it reasonably believes may pose health, safety, or regulatory risks.

11. Health and Safety

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning will conduct its operations with due regard for the health and safety of its staff, the Customer, and any occupants of the Premises. Operatives are instructed to follow safe working practices and to use equipment and chemicals in accordance with manufacturer guidance and legal requirements.

The Customer must ensure that any children, pets, or vulnerable persons are kept away from working areas and equipment during the provision of Services and whilst carpets or upholstery are drying.

Should the Customer have any specific health concerns, sensitivities, or allergies, they must inform Hounslow Carpet Cleaning prior to the commencement of Services so that suitable products and methods can be considered where possible.

12. Use of Customer Data

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may collect and process personal data relating to the Customer for the purposes of managing bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and handling enquiries and complaints.

Customer information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the United Kingdom. Personal data will not be sold to third parties. It may be shared with selected third parties only where necessary for the performance of Services, such as payment processors or insurance providers, or where required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

Hounslow Carpet Cleaning may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any updated version will apply to new bookings made after the date of publication of the revised Terms and Conditions.

For existing bookings, the Terms and Conditions in force at the time the booking was confirmed will normally apply, unless changes are required to reflect amendments in applicable law or regulatory requirements.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement between the Customer and Hounslow Carpet Cleaning, are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

No failure or delay by Hounslow Carpet Cleaning in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

The Agreement is between the Customer and Hounslow Carpet Cleaning. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the Services and supersede any previous agreements, understandings, or arrangements, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.
